Our Hand and Microsurgery unit continues in development of research studies, surgical techniques, and innovations to improve patient cares and academic activities for medical students, residents and fellows.
Based on Anatomy and Biomechanic studies, our innovation “TU Metacarpal Interlocking Nail (MCLN)”, by Assoc. Prof. Sunyarn Niempoog and his team, for metacarpal bones fixation has been developed and used in patients. Our remarkable surgical techniques include Endoscopic Carpal Tunnel Release (ECTR) and ECTR with FDS opponensplasty. Our wrist arthroscopy has been performed in all levels including Arthroscopic TFCC surgery, Arthroscopic assisted reduction/corrective osteotomy/ bone-grafting and internal fixation. The Computer aided design Technology for surgical planning and implant design has also been developed continuously.
